ABSTRACT

A femoral hernia may mimic all pathologies such as inguinal hernia, lymphadenopathy, lipoma or vascular aneurysms, which can occur in the inguinal region. The urgent surgical intervention requirement and the possibility of complications occurring in femoral hernias are higher than those in other types of inguinal hernias. Here, we report a very rare complication of femoral hernia, which presented itself as a cystic mass in the inguinal area of a 36-year-old female patient.

Keywords: Femoral hernia, inguinal hernia, subacute torsion
