ABSTRACT

Fecalomas are hard, laminated, and calcified fecal masses, that sometimes may mimic carcinoma. They are frequently radiopaque, usually found in the rectosigmoid region, and rarely in the more proximal colon. Chronic constipation is one of the most common causes of fecaloma in adults.
