ABSTRACT

Occipital condyle fractures can easily be missed because the clinical manifestation is highly variable and the results of physical examination are usually nonspecific. The diagnosis of occipital condyle fractures to be based on a high index of suspicion, especially in patients with cervical pain and normal plain radiographs. The only reliable diagnostic tool is Computed Tomographic scan with bony windows of the cranio-cervical junction.
