ABSTRACT

Ruptured aortic aneurysm is a condition that requires emergency treatment because of its high mortality rate. In this case, we presented the emergency endovascular treatment of a ruptured descending thoracic aortic aneurysm. A female patient, admitted to the emergency with sudden onset back pain, was treated by emergency endovascular stent-graft after CT angiography examination. According to endovascular treatment, surgical treatment has a high mortality and morbidity rate in the treatment of the ruptured descending thoracic aortic aneurysms. The endovascular stent-graft treatment is applied safely and successfully to the intervention of this pathology.
