ABSTRACT
Low back pain is an increasingly frequent cause of emergency room admissions, and its differential diagnosis may be very difficult. Etiologies of such pain include inflammation and infections of intervertebral or sacroiliac joints. Brucellosisrelated vertebral infection might be misdiagnosed as a lumbar disc herniation and sciatica owing to nonspecific findings. A delay in diagnosis may lead to progression of the disease and its complications. In this report, a patient with brucella who presented to emergency room with low back pain is presented, and typical findings and treatment are discussed.
