The Investigation the Factors That Effect the Job Satisfaction in Ambulance and First Aid Care Technician in Izmir

PURPOSE:

The aim of this descriptive study that ambulance and first aid care technician in Izmir was investigated their job satisfaction and it’s effect factors.

MATERIAL AND METHODS:

The population of this study was 108 ambulance and first aid care technician that is work in Izmir. In this study sample built wasn’t use sample choice technique and all of population was study sample. The study was applicationed 67 ambulances and first aid care technician. Study was exercised as reach of population 62.0%. Research was data collected between 07.04.2008 and 01.06.2008 and face to face interview technique by questionnaire that is toward literature, Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale, Minnesota the Measurement of Organizational Commitment.

FINDINGS:

Ambulance and first aid care technician that taken research comprehension was determined that was women 46.3%, men 53.7%, 24- 29 age group 41.8%, married 35.8%, graduate associated degree 77.6%, he/she worked five year this job 62.7%, he/she have been work in establishment since five year. Ambulance and first aid care technician’s were found statistical significant that if their increase work period, their job satisfaction was low(F= 3.389, p<0.05). In Ambulance and first aid care technician were found statistical significant in variance analysis between job form and job satisfaction average score(F= 5.922, p<0.05). In Ambulance and first aid care technician were found strength correlation relation between their job satisfaction average (r=0.756, p<0.01) and external job satisfaction(r=0.663, p<0.01) and inherent job satisfaction(r=0.755, p<0.01) and organizational commitment.

RESULT:

We have been results that if job satisfaction of ambulance and first aid care technician were moderate level and increase their work period, their job satisfaction was low, according to their work staff shown difference and if their organizational commitment level increase, their job satisfaction increase.
